With SailTime, ownership of a new boat in your hometown
is a reality. SailTime will take care of all the
monthly expenses including marina fees, insurance,
maintenance and service. Additionally, you receive
a guaranteed monthly income that amounts to more
than your marine mortgage payment - and you'll still
get to sail or cruise virtually as often as you
want, when you want, using the flexibility of our
on-line Scheduler.
Participation in SailTime’s Owner Member program
is in high demand and is limited to just a few yachts
each year per base location. If you are interested
in becoming an Owner-Member then you should contact
the base location you are interested in and start
discussing next steps. Our Owner-Members that become
Members first are the ones that get first access
to the Owner-Member program so do not delay in determining
where the waiting list stands with the base you
are interested in. Also keep in mind that we have
people joining bases as Owner-Members from locations
that are half way across the country to have a boat
in a location they have always dreamed of. Due to
the flexibility in our scheduling system this dream
also becomes a reality in that you can have a boat
in a coastal location and be able to spend a week
on it every few months while having it looked after
professionally by our local base owner.
Brand new Hunter yachts in the mid-size range will
be considered. Yachts must be ordered while working
with SailTime to ensure that everything is set up
properly for the program. One of our finance partners
will help you obtain the financing that suits your
needs. Due to our market position we have been able
to obtain several financing programs from major
financing companies and these benefits are provided
to you. Yachts typically require a minimum 20% down
payment but some of our financing sources have flexibility
even in this area. .
Yacht ownership may be able to provide you substantial
tax benefits. If you plan to treat your yacht as
a second home you can deduct the interest paid on
the bank note. Also, you may also be able to deduct
the book depreciation on the yacht. Talk to your
accountant for details as SailTime does not offer
tax advice.
At the end of the term of the agreement you may
decide to keep, sell, or trade-in your yacht for
a new one and continue in the program.
SailTime Owner Members enjoy the pride of yacht
ownership without any of the worries that are associated
with it.
