How many people own the boat?

You will be the sole owner of the boat and have all the benefits of ownership without all the costs.

Does SailTime Power exists in all the locations listed on your website?

Not yet. SailTime Power is available in select markets at this time and will come on line in more markets over time. Please call us and we will provide you with the latest information on where SailTime Power is available.

How much do I get paid?

This depends on the boat size however our Owner-Member program is designed so that you will receive a payment amount near the monthly mortgage payment based typically on a 20 year amortization schedule.

Are there any tax advantages?

Typically, there are very advantageous tax advantages. Please investigate these with your CPA so that you can receive maximum benefit.

How long will SailTime keep my boat?

SailTime will professionally manage your boat and take care of all costs for 5 years while you enjoy virtually as much usage as you want. This 5 year period is broken into a 3 year initial plan with two one year options.

Can I remove my boat from the program?

Yes, with 9 months notice, you can remove your boat from the program.

What are the specifications of my boat?

The SailTime power fleet consists of impressive, best of breed powerboats, each extensively outfitted with state of the art instruments, air conditioning, bow thruster, electric generator, swim platform and many other added features to provide an exciting and enjoyable boating experience.

Do I get special scheduling privileges?

Similar to a Member, you are guaranteed a minimum of 7 sail times per month plus unlimited as available use. This is usually much more than anyone sails on average. Plus, our proprietary bi-monthly scheduling software allows you to schedule your boat for an entire week so that as best as possible, you feel like you have full and complete access to your boat.

Can I put my existing boat into the program? ?

At this time we only put new boats into our program. This gives a consistent and excellent experience to all our Members worldwide.

What manufacturers do you work with?

Visit our website to see our impressive line up of manufacturer partners. We only add a partner when we know the manufacturer is committed to providing a quality experience to SailTime Members and Owner-Members.

How do you handle irresponsible people on my boat?

The Membership Agreement provides for the removal of Members who abuse SailTime’s policies.

What is the down payment?

Typically you will put down 20% of the sales price.

Who arranges financing?

SailTime can provide you with a financing company who can fast track your application through. SailTime has partnered with several very qualified lenders.

Can I meet the Members using my boat?

Each SailTime base holds frequent social gatherings for Members. You’re welcome to join in.

How can I be sure my boat will be treated properly?

SailTime maintains an exclusive Membership on your boat. Additionally, each SailTime Member must sign a care commitment document, which ensures that they treat the boat as if they own it. This minimizes the number of people using your boat and ensures that each Member is familiar with your boat’s operation and standards and policies.

What is my equity position at the end of the SailTime commitment to me and what are my options?

The 20% down payment establishes a position where you are likely to stay ahead of the depreciation curve so that you will maintain positive equity. We suggest to all Owners that they make additional principal payments to further insure this is the case. At the end of the five year commitment, you may take the boat for your personal use, refinance to lower the payments, upgrade to a new boat and re-enter into the program, sell your boat or move it into one of the other programs we are developing. All these options leave you with a very inexpensive and quality SailTime sailing experience.

How do I get started?

You must first join SailTime as a Member for three months. This allows you to develop a relationship with the local SailTime base manager so that you can both feel comfortable that this is the right decision for you.
