If you're like most sailors, the question you undoubtedly ask is, "how can I responsibly afford my own dream sailboat and use it often enough to justify all the hassle and expense." SailTime has the practical solution that puts sailboat ownership within your reach.

Our local Base Owners will:

Provide assistance with finding the right source for your boat loan.
Provide a monthly payment to you that can be applied towards your expenses.
Train every new SailTime Member so they know how to properly use your boat. They will be experienced and fully qualified.
Ensure It is always responsible Members who sail your boat. It isn't treated like a charter. Members take pride in ownership as well. In fact, sailboats that have been in our program for 5 years still look and sail like new.
Pay the slip fees, the maintenance, and insurance on your boat.
Clean and maintain your sailboat weekly and keep all the systems operating like new. When you step on board, it's ready and waiting to go.
Keep your boat in a marina close to home so you can sail on the weekends, during the week, overnight, for the day or just for a few hours, whenever you like.

Think of us as your advocate or agent in what can traditionally be a confusing and complicated purchase. SailTime helps you through the process of purchasing and outfitting a brand new sailboat. We work with you to review the specifications of your boat amongst the world class outfitting packages that come with every SailTime boat. No detail is overlooked. You then place your new yacht in the SailTime local base's professional management program and enjoy worry-free sailing at your local waterway. The local SailTime base takes care of insurance, docking, storage, maintenance and operating expenses for up to five years.

Ask any boat owner; regular maintenance is a big expense and requires a lot of time and expertise. As a SailTime Owner-Member though, all those headaches are taken care of for you. Your local base owner will handle everything from oil changes to gelcoat repairs. You'll be kept n the loop, but won't have to worry about a thing.

Part of regular maintenance is replacing consumables: diesel fuel, fresh water, toilet paper, etc. Your local base owner will keep your boat stocked with these products, as well as pump-out the holding tank. All at no cost to you.

Your local SailTime base will also arrange regular detailed cleaning. Members clean up the boat after sailing, but we go deeper: scrubbing from the deck down to the bilge and everything in between. These regular cleanings also help us continuously inspect potential maintenance items, so we can identify an issue before it becomes a problem.

SailTime makes owning a sailboat affordable

Purchasing a boat for use in the SailTime membership sailing program is an intelligent and practical choice for many potential boat owners. There are many advantages to this type of sailboat ownership allowing benefits from both a practical use and an economical standpoint.

2011 is SailTime's 10th year in business. To celebrate the milestone, we are offering $10,000 in free optional equipment and upgrades for any brand new Hunter sailboat put into our membership fleet in our SailTime Dream Boats promotion. There has never been a better time to buy the boat of your dreams.

SailTime offers two different compensation programs for Owner-Members. One is a shared revenue program in which you'll earn a percentage, up to 50%, of the income your boat generates. So as more members join and share your boat, the more money your boat earns.

The other payment program has a guaranteed payment every month based on the hull value of your new boat. This insures that no matter how many members are on board, even if it's just you, you're guaranteed the same payments every month at a reasonable return on investment.

SailTime has established relationships with insurers and lenders that will finance and insure boats placed in service with SailTime locations throughout our entire base network. Working together, we can assist you in establishing a lending program designed to suit your needs.
