The “Outstanding” Award come about through student evaluation of their experiences. After a student completes a course, they are sent a request to rate the facility and the instructor they learned with. A school must have at least seven evaluations completed to be considered for the award. The following bases earned the award this year:

We congratulate these bases for the fine effort they put in last season and look forward to seeing who wins in 2013. For people looking to take sailing lessons, the award gives you confidence that you are being taught by professionals who care about the training they give. In our case here at SailTime, we have a vested interest in our students becoming proficient. Unlike most sailing schools, our students are our Members and as such, we have found that by providing superior instruction, we provide an extra level of confidence to those sailors looking to purchase a boat and place it into our fleet.
