On Friday, April 17th, SailTime Chicago turned over one of its fine Hunter Boats, located right in downtown Chicago, to Prominent 1, so they could film a music video of rising native Chicago R & B singers, Kelly Lynch and Devon Carlo. Both artists are poised for greatness and it could just be SailTime that puts them over the top with great visuals! In fact, Kelly’s MySpace page says that she is “set to make waves in the music industry”. We guess she means that literally and figuratively.
Maureen and Bob Remsing started the Chicago Base for the same reasons most SailTime operators do; a love of sailing. They have grown their base to two locations. Burnham Harbor is right downtown next to Soldier Field and McCormick Place. This is by far the hot spot for sailors in this region. Further North and close to the Wisconsin border is a second suburban base at Winthrop Harbor which is a perfect place to learn to sail. ASA Sailing lessons are taught at both locations. The fleet of Hunter boats include two 33 footers and one 36 at Burnham and one 33 and one 36 at Winthrop.
