The latest news and announcements from SailTime Boston.
SailTime Boston Grows and Expands Fleet
SailTime Boston had a very active winter, adding new boats to the fleet, adding a catamaran, and expanding to a second location. For 2014, SailTime Boston adds a new 2014 Hunter 33, 2014 Hunter 37, and 2014 Gemini Legacy 35 catamaran to our existing fleet of Hunter 33 and Hunter 36 sailboats. We continue to maintain the youngest, best equipped, safest, and most modern sailing fleet of any organization in New England. Plus, with the addition of the Gemini catamaran, we now have the only catamaran available in a club fleet in the Northeast.
With the growth of our fleet, we are also expanding into a second location. Our new Hunter 33 will be berthed at Hawthorne Cove Marina in Salem, MA. This opens up additional opportunities to sail the north shore and into New Hampshire and Maine.
This summer is poised to be our best yet. We hope you will join us on the water.
SailTime Boston Expands Sailing Fleet
We are very excited to announce that we have added two brand new sailboats to our fleet for the 2012 season. “Liberty”, a new and fully-loaded Hunter e36 fills in a void in the mid-thirty foot range, offering a comfortable cruising platform at an affordable price. At the top-end, the new Hunter 39 “Arabella” provides the bog-boat feel in an easy-to-sail package. The Hunter 39 offers twin-helm steering, double-ended mainsheet, and bow thruster to our already full list of features and options. We continue to maintain the newest, safest, and most modern fleet in Boston. Come experience the difference.
SailTime Boston Celebrates with End of Season Dinner
SailTime Boston hosted its annual End-of-Season Celebration Dinner on November 21 at Strega Waterfront. The event was very popular with the members, mainly because of the amazing four-course meal and beautiful setting. Awards for Member of the Year and Trip of the Year were presented, and members with 5 years aboard were bestowed the title of Commodore. The dinner softened the otherwise sad realization that the season has come to a close.
SailTime Boston Changes Location
We are very pleased to announce that SailTime Boston has moved to the brand new Fan Pier Marina in South Boston. This marina hosted the Volvo Ocean Race in 2009 and the Extreme Sailing Series in 2010. With brand new facilities, on-site restaurants, a fabulous view of the city, and plenty of parking, this marina is the nicest on Boston Harbor.
