This option, along with the standard furling genoa and all the control lines running back to the cockpit, is why two people can easily sail the 389. In fact, it’s so user-friendly that one person can sail it with a bit of practice! The drop-down transom offers easy access to the water and proves to be the most popular spot for the kids while anchored.
Below deck, the first thing you’ll notice is the headroom and large windows that offer plenty of natural lighting. Entering the main salon, the interior feels open and airy with a dining table that seats six. The galley has plenty of counter space and a large fridge with a freezer compartment featuring a top and side-load door, so you won’t have to “dive in” to retrieve items. There are two large staterooms, each with hanging lockers and big beds, perfect for those overnight excursions.
