SailTime is a fractional sailing program that allows our members to have fun sailing adventures aboard a well-outfitted, luxury, professionally maintained sailboat on San Francisco Bay.
SailTime members select a sailboat from our local fleet, the marina location that suits them best and the membership level that matches the amount of time they want to create their own sailing calendar.
Fractional sailing is the best way to sail a world class sailboat for less than the price of a slip and maintenance. Financially structured similar to a lease, our program is designed so that you feel like you are sailing on your own boat. We limit the number of members per sailboat so we can guarantee your monthly sailing time. Once you have mastered the right skills and certifications, you can single hand, sail at night and take the boat for extended weekends.
If you are a seasoned sailor without a boat or are just starting to dream sailing, we are here to help. If you are currently renting sailboats and want to sail more with out paying more, please investigate how the SailTime fractional sailing membership works. The local SailTime team is truly passionate about all things sailing and look forward to helping however we can.

San Francisco Bay has long been known for having some of the best sailing experiences in the world. The winds are consistent, the waves are small, and the scenery is spectacular. Some of our favorite sailing destinations in the Bay include:
- Angel Island for lunch and hiking
- Docking at waterfront restaurants in Sausalito
- Shooting through Raccoon Strait with the current
- Spending a night on the hook in Clipper Cove
- Shopping and restaurants at Jack London Square
- Sailing under the Golden Gate Bridge
Conveniently located in two wonderful San Francisco Bay marinas:
Emery Cove Yacht Harbor is located on Powell Street in Emeryville, just north of the bay bridge. It provides quick access to great sailing areas like The Slot, Olympic Circle, and the central bay. Facilities include double fingered upwind slips, security gates, wifi, ample parking, well-maintained restrooms with showers and laundry facilities, and great views of the bay. Within walking distance, there are three great restaurants (Trader Vic’s, East Ocean Hong Kong, and Chevy’s) and a grocery store.
Pier 39 in San Francisco is a world-class destination, and the Pier 39 Marina is centrally located to provide access to great central bay sailing destinations like Alcatraz, Angel Island, the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco waterfront. Facilities here include double fingered slips, security gates, and first-class restroom and shower facilities. Within walking distance are several great restaurants (Bubba Gump, Hard Rock Cafe, and the Crab House) and attractions.
