It was like Christmas on an August workday morning when I got an email from Greg Emerson at Hunter Marine. I could feel his excitement flowing through the bits and bytes. Hunter will be unveiling its newest sailboat design at the Newport, RI and Annapolis, MD Fall boat shows beginning next month! Its a sleek sailing yacht as you can see.
He told me the 38 will be retired and this new hull which is about a foot longer waterline and all new deck design will replace it at the top of the “mid-size” category of their line. I’m stoked. This should be a very good boat for SailTime as well. By the looks of it we have a real eye grabber!
Here, you can see the dual steering stations which provides two distinct benefits; more room in the cockpit and better visibility for the helmsman. A color chartplotter is seen, easily placed in the center table on a swivel so either helm position has a good view. Can’t wait to get behind the wheel and take her out for a good sail!
