Growing up on the coast of New Jersey, Todd has been boating since childhood. As a youth, Todd was an avid sport fisherman spending many days on extended offshore trips. When Todd was introduced to SailTime in 2004, he quickly developed a passion for the sport of sailing.
Todd’s business career began in the building materials industry. He started as a supervisor for a small, family-owned construction materials business. Todd quickly advanced into project management, business development and then general management, overseeing the regional expansion of the largest international building materials company in North America. In 2005, Todd acquired Baysail, one of the largest sailing schools and charter companies on the Chesapeake Bay. That same year, he acquired the SailTime territory rights for the northern Chesapeake Bay and established the Havre de Grace and Baltimore SailTime bases.
In 2006, Todd and a group of other SailTime base operators purchased the SailTime brand and assets and franchised the company. In 2010, Todd became the CEO and President of the SailTime Group, LLC, and where he continues to serve on its Executive Committee.
In 2016, Todd sold his SailTime Franchise and Baysail to focus all of his attention on growing the SailTime brand and franchise network, and overseeing the corporate base at Annapolis, along with his wife Tammy. Under his leadership, the Annapolis Base has undergone extensive expansion and maintains one of the largest SailTime base fleets and sailing schools in the program. Todd has been leading the organization’s expansion into new markets, new products, and improved service. His energy, enthusiasm, knowledge of the industry, approach to excellent customer service and his ability to establish and develop critical partnerships that are vital to SailTime’s continued growth, are an inspiration to the whole SailTime team. Todd also serves on the Board of Directors of the industry trade group Sail America.
