This Spring we began to roll out the Web 2.0 version of our proprietary scheduling system that allows sailors to make their SailTime reservations online. Our software engineers worked tirelessly to build a new scheduler that is much more flexible than the original version.
Now that the initial pieces of the puzzle are operational and enhancements are beginning to release. The complicated table that attempted to explain a Member’s usage at the old system has been replaced with a simple to read “What Can I Reserve” link found in the upper right hand corner of the Member log in page.
When you click the link, it opens up a window that incorporates the Member’s level of Membership and calculates their usage to explain in plain english what you can reserve. It takes into account if you have reserved sail times already, if you have borrowed – any nuance that would affect what you could reserve.
This feature joins the recent release of Embark. Our new and simple technology for checking on and checking off the boats speeds up the process from the old Ettendant system. More enhancements and tools for Members are in the pipeline. So, stay tuned!
