If you are looking for classes as a beginner to learn to sail, or you want to advance your current sailing knowledge and skills through additional classes, we have the right course for you.
Located in Sturgeon Bay WI, the SailTime Door County’s Sailing School provides cruising class instruction throughout the Door County Peninsula. All locations are an easy drive for the seafaring residents in and around Door and Brown County that want to expand their boating knowledge and skills. You can also find great local entertainment, lodging, and food just minutes from all three marinas.

Experiential Education
SailTime Door County Sailing School is committed to providing the highest quality sailing courses to both our members and the general public. We use a Beneteau 35.1 Oceanis in our training classes. Through the sailing school we offer the following ASA-approved sailing courses with a typical class size of 2-4 students.
All of our instructor-captains are USCG-licensed and ASA-certified.
SailTime supports the national recreational boating education standards as recognized by the United States Coast Guard.
ASA 101 Course
Students learn to sail a boat of about 22 feet in length in moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision.
ASA 103 Course
Students will learn the skills to perform as skipper and crew of a 25-35 foot boat by sailing in coastal waters.
ASA 104 Course
This course is structured along the lines of an actual charter: students will learn to pilot a sloop-rigged keelboat 30 to 50 feet in length.
ASA 101 Test Out
Testing out of ASA 101 is perfect for someone who is experienced at sailing and wants to take the advanced courses that ASA 101 is a prerequisite for.
