All of our instructor-captains are USCG-licensed and ASA-certified.
SailTime supports the national recreational boating education standards as recognized by the United States Coast Guard.

ASA 101 Course

Students learn to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length in moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters without supervision.

ASA 102 Course

Able to skipper and crew aboard a sloop-rigged keelboat of approximately 20 to 30 feet in length by day in winds up to 20 knots. Depart, sail, and return with control demonstrating teamwork.

ASA 103/104 Combo Course

The ASA 103/104 course is a 3-day, 2-night course covering the material of ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising and ASA 104 Bareboat Charter. 

ASA 105 Course

During this 4-day class, students will learn the theory and hands-on skills needed to safely navigate in near coastal or inland waters.

ASA 105 Online Course

Learn practical navigation on inland and coastal waters, including chart reading, piloting, rules of the road, tides and currents, and more. Study and Learn at your own pace with ASA Online Courses.

ASA 106 Course

Students will learn how to safely act as skipper and crew of a sailboat 30 to 50 feet in length in near coastal and inland waters.

ASA 107 Online Course

Learn practical celestial navigation and other aspects of safe ocean navigation

ASA 114 Course

Students will learn how to pilot a cruising catamaran between 30 to 45 feet in length during a multi-day live-a-board cruise in near coastal waters.

ASA 117 Online Course

Learn to apply basic celestial navigation theory and practice to determine latitude and longitude at sea using a sextant and Nautical Almanac.

ASA 118 Course

This 2-day course is designed to teach anyone how to dock an auxiliary powered sailboat through both theory in class and techniques on the water.

ASA 119 Online Course

Learn to observe and forecast weather conditions using traditional maritime skills and modern technology.

Learn at your own pace on your own schedule. Course pricing includes all materials, ebooks, books and ASA certification as well as gives students access to instructors who stand by ready to help as you move through the course in your timeline.
