Newport Beach Base Dispels the myth that Fractional sailing programs are anything like Charter

SailTime Orange County’s Hunter 38, Bruce Goose, won 1st Place in the Boat Maintenance Competition for sailboats 35 to 45 feet at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club (BCYC).

No small feat, this is a grand accomplishment given the fact that this boat was up against sole owned boats that are used much less than SailTime sailboats are. With over 1000 hours on the engine, this sailboat has been used extensively by the 7 Members and the Owner Member continuously over the last two and a half years.

This win is a testament to the extensive maintenance program that SailTime boats are put through each month. We spend a lot of time, money and effort maintaining our boats to the highest standard every day of the year.

The Owner Member, David Bruce (shown here with Base Owner, Chris Jester) was proud to accept the award during the Opening Day ceremony at the Newport Beach Yacht Club, which itself recently won the prestigious Southern California Yachting Association (SCYA )Yacht Club of the Year award.
