Positive Changes Come to Miami Base

Our Miami sailing base has recently undergone a management change. The new Base Manager is Captain Jim Brinckerhoff. Involved in boating for over 40 years, Jim holds a USCG 100 ton master license and was an engineering officer in the merchant marine. He is an avid sailor with substantial racing and cruising pedigree. Jim is also an ASA certified instructor and has been training members and new sailors for SailTime Chicago for the past several years. During his business life, he was an executive manager and turn-around specialist for Fortune 500 companies as well as a small business owner. So he is well suited to lead one of our most prominent bases going forward.

The new fleet manager is Ryan Remsing, who has been the active fleet manager for SailTime Chicago for the past 3 years. Ryan has traveled the country assisting other bases in boat maintenance, member sales and operations. He brings his experience and youthful vigor to Miami to help Captain Jim expand and grow the business.

At the same time, the Miami Team announces an unbeatable holiday offer for sailors interested in sailing out of Miami. Initiation fees have been lowered and monthly membership fees have also been lowered to encourage snowbirds and full time Miami residents to get started now. A full membership on a Hunter 36 is now $750, down from $825 monthly. A half membership on a 36 is only $390. Sue, the previous Base Manager is staying on to develop a public charter fleet and head up the boat sales side of the business. Contact SailTime Miami today to learn more.
