January is boat show time for us. It’s a great time of year for boat shows, giving sailors in the Northern Hemisphere something to dream about during the long winter months. You get to see all the new models, attend educational seminars and commiserate with other boating enthusiasts. If a show is coming near to you, we highly recommend you come out of hibernation and visit us in Chicago, Toronto, San Diego as well as London, England!
Here are some little known facts when considering a visit to the shows to learn more about SailTime:
- Seasonal bases like Chicago and Toronto usually fill all of their membership positions long before the season begins. So, attending the boat show will ensure you get on board the boat you want.
- Bases exhibiting at boat shows offer a “show special” that in many instances can save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
- It’s easy to compare private ownership versus intelligent ownership pros and cons in one place at one time.
- Meet instructors and staff people who are excited to “talk shop” with you when you visit.
Kicking off the show season in North America, is our base offering three convenient harbor locations in metro Toronto. The Toronto International Boat Show runs for 9 days, commencing January 14 and ending January 22. You can save hundreds of dollars on your annual membership at the show for a position on a Hunter 33 or 36 sailboat or a Cruisers 36 powerboat. The base is actively looking for Hunter e33 and e36 Owner Members to expand their program in 2012.
January 26-29 you have two choices; the all sailing, Strictly Sail Show in Chicago or you can pretend it’s Summer at the Sunroad Boat Show in San Diego. Our Chicago boating base offers both sail and power boats in two convenient locations. In fact, Chicago will be showing Rinker powerboats at the Chicago Boat and RV Show, January 12-16 and will be part of the Hunter exhibition at Strictly Sail, January 26-29. They are offering “first month free” for annual membership purchases at the shows and are actively looking for Hunter e33 and e36 Owner Members as well as number of Rinker Owner Members to continue their expansion there.
Sailors from all across the USA fly in to San Diego for the Sunroad show, to mix and mingle with the locals. Our San Diego sailing base will have a Hunter 36 in the water and is offering s 1/2 price membership deal to show goers. They too, are looking for Hunter 33 and 36 Owner Members to keep up with the demand there.
One of the largest boat shows in the world rings in the New Year over in London, England from January 6 to the 15th. Our growing network of UK bases will be on hand there to show you more about their popular membership sailing program across the pond.
