A New Way to Sail Comes to the Shores of Lake Erie
The SailTime Group, LLC is proud to announce the official debut of SailTime Cleveland, a new franchise offering a premium fractional sailing program based out of the Mentor Harbor Yacht Club in Mentor, Ohio. The launch will be celebrated at the Catawba Boat Show from April 25–27, marking the start of a new chapter for sailors and boaters in Northeast Ohio.
“We’re excited to welcome Jeremiah Swetel and SailTime Cleveland into our growing network of franchise bases,” said SailTime Group CEO Todd Hess. “His unique combination of dealership, marine service experience for both sail and power, and sailing instruction will create a true hub for sailing lifestyle and learning in the region.”
For Jeremiah, owner of SailTime Cleveland, SailTime represents a natural extension of his boating ecosystem. A Jeanneau dealer and the new owner of Riverfront Marine Sales and Service, Jeremiah also operates “Learn to Sail Cleveland”, an American Sailing (ASA) school that has trained over 500 students in just three years.
“SailTime is a perfect complement to what we already offer,” Jeremiah said. “It provides a bridge for sailing school graduates, options for those not ready to own a boat, and a smart way for owner-members to offset the cost of boat ownership.”
A Lifestyle, Not Just a Membership
SailTime Cleveland will be headquartered at Mentor Harbor Yacht Club, a private marina in Mentor, Ohio, offering SailTime members access to upscale amenities including a restaurant, private beach, tennis courts, pickleball, and a country club atmosphere—all just minutes from downtown Cleveland.
The first boat in the fleet is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 380, a sleek performance cruiser equipped with two cabins, a head with separate shower, a full bimini and dodger, a Code Zero sail for light winds, and modern electronics and technology like electric windlass anchoring, autohelm, a chartplotter and fusion bluetooth radio. Future expansion plans include adding a second boat as membership grows.
The Cleveland Sailing Advantage
Lake Erie offers both casual and adventurous sailing opportunities. From sunset cruises with Cleveland’s skyline as a backdrop, to overnight voyages to the Erie Islands or Presque Isle, SailTime Cleveland members can access it all.
“We’re here to support boaters at every stage of their journey,” Jeremiah added. “From day sails and sunset cruises to race crews and overnighters, SailTime is a launching pad for lifelong boating adventures.”
Grand Opening Plans
SailTime Cleveland will officially launch at the Catawba Boat Show, April 25–27. The team will be onboarding members and preparing for full operations by June 1, 2025—just in time for the summer season.
All new members will receive personalized onboarding, docking practice, and access to required American Sailing (ASA) training through “Learn to Sail Cleveland”, ensuring a confident and safe experience from day one.
