Bob Remsing always liked the idea of being his own boss and he has been an entrepreneur since he was 18 years old.  Bob and his wife Maureen started Remsing Construction as a small home business in 1991. Today, Remsing Construction handles multi-million dollar commercial buildings and renovations in the Chicagoland and metropolitan Chicago area.

Bob and Maureen came upon SailTime in 2004 while looking for a smart way to buy a new boat. They immediately loved the idea of boat sharing and they established Creative Yacht Management, Inc., d/b/a SailTime Chicago. under Bob’s guidance, SailTime Chicago has grown to a fleet of 13 boats in two locations on Lake Michigan and has been the test location for many SailTime innovations. Despite the short sailing season, it is one of the most successful SailTime Base operations and has enjoyed steady growth over the years. SailTime Chicago provides sailing training to the general public in addition to offering our franchised services. Bob and Maureen’s son Ryan currently runs the Chicago base operations.

Bob was among the SailTime base operators who purchased the SailTime brand and assets in 2006 and transitioned the company from a licensing group to a franchise operation. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Business Development Director for SailTime Group LLC and serves on its Executive Committee. Bob has helped establish and solidify relationships with SailTime’s boat manufacturing partners and has been a driving force in creating new and exciting products for our members. Bob is also instrumental in the promotion and establishment of new franchise opportunities.
