Just in Time for Summer, PowerTime Launches
Fleet of Powerboats in San Diego
World’s Leading Boat Membership Franchise Expands Fleet to Include Powerboats at SailTime’s Base in Southern California
SailTime Group, the world’s leading fractional boat membership franchise, is thrilled to announce the launch of PowerTime San Diego, an unmatched boat sharing program offering members access to high-end powerboats and yachts. PowerTime is the latest program developed by The SailTime Group, which was formed to fulfill a need for making boating easier and more affordable.
Since opening SailTime San Diego in 2017, Keenan Hirsh has introduced countless SailTime members and passengers to the pleasure of boat sharing, which includes all the fun but eliminates the hassle and costs of sailboat ownership. This summer, Hirsh is expanding the unrivaled convenience to powerboat enthusiasts with the launch of PowerTime at his base.
“It’s more boating for less money. That’s my tagline to people,” Hirsh, owner of PowerTime and SailTime San Diego, says. “With PowerTime, you’re enjoying a high-quality, professionally maintained boat that’s brand new, and it’s only used by a maximum of eight members. It’s a step up from renting a boat. You and other members treat it as though it’s your boat. There’s pride of ownership, just no hassle.”
PowerTime will offer members access to Beneteau powerboats with a fee that starts at only a few hundred dollars per month. PowerTime’s monthly fee includes all operational expenses such as dockage fees, insurance, and routine maintenance. PowerTime members will be able to conveniently schedule blocks of time online to enjoy a new model powerboat without the expense of ownership.
The two powerboats joining PowerTime San Diego’s fleet during the summer of 2021 are the Beneteau Antares 8 and the Beneteau Antares 9.
New boat owners can earn a generous income by placing their powerboat in the PowerTime Ownership Program. The company’s innovative boat-management program provides consistent revenue and significantly reduces the cost of ownership. Owners also get a premier membership on their boat, guaranteeing them a full week of reservations every month on their vessel.
Hirsh adds that his team is actively seeking boat owners who are interested in placing their boat in the PowerTime or SailTime fleet. Boats he’s looking to add to San Diego’s program include the Swift Trawler 35 (powerboat) and the Beneteau Oceanis 38.1 (sailboat).
“The benefits of owning a boat in the PowerTime program are excellent,” says Todd Hess, SailTime Group’s CEO. “We help owners select their boat, line up financing, and facilitate the purchase from the supplier. New boat owners can put their boat into the PowerTime fleet for up to five years and enjoy the benefits of daily professional management and care. Revenue is maximized without sacrificing use by the owner, which makes the PowerTime Ownership Program a very appealing option for future boat owners.”
