SailTime Orange County Adds New Yachts to its Fleet of 15 Sailboats
World’s Leading Sailboat Membership Franchise Welcomes 2020 Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 and 35.1 to Newport Beach, California
SailTime Orange County is proud to announce that new yachts are being welcomed to the fleet. The SailTime location in Newport Beach, California has added a 2020 Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 and 35.1 to its family of 15 sailboats this summer, and the base owners have plans to expand the fleet with an additional boat before the end of the year.
The brand new Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 and Beneteau Oceanis 35.1 will take the place of a Marlow-Hunter 33, which is retiring from SailTime.
“Right now, our memberships are full, so we know we need to expand the fleet,” says Chris Jester, who owns and manages SailTime Orange County with his wife, Angele. “In addition to the Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 and 35.1, we also have a new 38.1 on order. Boaters love the SailTime membership model, and we will continue to expand to meet that growing demand.”
It is no surprise SailTime’s unrivaled boat sharing service has become increasingly popular since Chris and Angele opened the Newport Beach location in 2004. Unlike your typical boat club, SailTime members have monthly access to the same boat for an affordable fee, and they only share the vessel with a handful of other members.
“The owner of the retired Hunter 33 sold that boat and became a member on the Beneteau 30.1,” Chris says. “He started out as a sailing school student, and joined SailTime in 2013, so he’s getting the full SailTime experience. It goes to show how SailTime has something to offer every sailor, whether you own a boat and want the additional income stream gained by adding it to our fleet, or you want access to a boat without the hassles of ownership as a member.”
What is SailTime?
- With a fee that starts at only a few hundred dollars a month, SailTime members can conveniently schedule blocks of time on their boat online. They enjoy a new model sail or powerboat without the commitment or expense of ownership. The membership fee includes the cost of insurance, marina fees, and maintenance.
- Boat owners can offset the cost of ownership by adding their boat to their local SailTime fleet, allowing a handful of members to use the boat each month. The base manager will handle regular maintenance, preventative care, and repairs. Boat owners are guaranteed monthly usage of their vessel and enjoy all the benefits of boat ownership without the hassle.
